Where do i even start? we were deservedly beaten at home by United except this defeat bore an eerie resemblance to the Chelsea hammering a few months ago. So many flaws to point out and hopefully Wenger addresses those before we head to Stamford Bridge for what is a must win game now. It must feel so demoralizing for Fabregas, who in my opinion was the only player to show up today.
Almunia: 3 – It’s becoming so apparent he is the weak link in the team, continues to gift goals and defenders don’t trust him. Made a meal of a simple back pass.
Sagna: 4 – His crosses are poor but defended well occasionally was caught out of position
Clichy: 3 – Something is not right with Clichy, United realised this and focused their attacks down his flank. Was poor going forward.
Gallas: 6 – Played well, kept Rooney at bay for the most part but there is only so much he can do without support.
Vermaelen: 5.5 – Like Gallas he did well but had no support from Denilson. Scored but was almost too late.
Denilson: 3 – How does he continually make the first team sheet, horrendous today and showed no desire to track back. Rooney goal could have been prevented had he not lost him.
Song: 7 – Played well but perhaps still fatigued from all the traveling.
Fabregas: 7.5 – Was really up for the game and it showed in his attitude, worked his socks off. Could have scored had Arshavin not been selfish.
Nasri: 5.5 – Poor, gave up after the 2nd goal.
Rosicky: 6 – Worked his socks off but one too many cute touches in the final third. For an experienced player you’d expect more.
Arshavin: 5.5 – Made some nice runs and seemed to trouble Evans early on but was caught always trying to do too much. You wonder if he is playing for himself or for Arsenal. Was a little selfish in the second half.
Bendtner: 5 – Clearly not fully fit. Sluggish with a bad first touch, needs to work on his fitness if he’s to lead the line.
Eboue: 5 – Slow and sluggish, seemed out of sorts perhaps like Song, also fatigued.
Walcott: 4 – Pretty runs with no end result.
