The black cats visit the Emirates Saturday without a win in 12 games since beating the gunners  in November at the stadium of light.

The gunners edge out the black cats in the head to head meetings between the two clubs. Of the 17 games between the two, Arsenal has 9W 5D and 3L. On the injury front, we are still missing Gallas and Arshavin for this weekend and the two could also miss out on the trip to Stoke next week. Eduardo’s minor minor hamstring injury is turning out to be a major injury obstacle. He is out this weekend and could also miss the trip to Stoke. Diaby also joins his teammates on the injury list having picked up an MCL sprain during the Porto game.

Conversely, Almunia (finger) and Song (knee) are back in the team for tomorrow’s game even if they are not fully fit. Arsenal sit top of the fair play table with 39Y 0R, while Sunderland have the worst disciplinary record in the premier league 53 Y 6 R.  Sunderland are also missing Lee Catermole and David Meyler while talismanic player Andy Reid could also be missing.

Arsenal midfielder Francesc Fabregas is the club’s leading scorer and also leads the league in assists. I expect us to win comfortably tomorrow and set the tone for a good week.
